We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use and distribute information when you visit our Website, download the App or use the Services. In addition to this Privacy Policy, you must read and agree to our Terms of Service located at when opening an account, downloading or using the App or otherwise using the Services. By providing Personal Information to us (e.g. when opening an account) you consent to the use of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. We also may receive Personal Information from our business partners and other third parties, provided that such third parties confirm to us that their use and provision of the Personal Information to us conforms to applicable privacy laws.

Information from other sources/social networking sites. In order to access and use certain of the Services you may be required to link your account with us to a third party social networking site, such as Facebook or Twitter. You can also engage with our content, such as applications and other offerings, on or through third-party social networking sites, such as Facebook or Twitter. When you link your account or engage with our content on or through third party social networking sites, social media plug-ins or applications, you may allow us to have ongoing access to certain information from your social media profile (e.g., name, e-mail address, your profile picture or its URL, gender, your physical location and that of your access devices, the posts or the 'likes' you make regarding Surpriise content or Services). When you provide information from your social media profile, it can help enable us to do things like (1) give you exclusive content, (2) personalize your online experience with us within our Apps or websites and any affiliated third party social networking site or application providers, and (3) contact you through the social networking sites or directly with the latest news, special offerings, and rewards. By linking your social media profile to your Surpriise account, you are authorizing Surpriise to collect, store, and use in accordance with this Privacy Policy any and all information that you agreed the social networking site could provide to Surpriise through the social networking site Application Programming Interface.

Information collected from mobile devices. If you use or otherwise access our Services on your mobile telephone or other mobile device, we also collect your unique device identifier and may collect location information in order to provide the Services. We also may collect your telephone number and other information you choose to provide, such as username or e-mail address (e.g., to provide updates or notifications from Surpriise). You can opt out of receiving most notifications and updates but cannot opt out of certain important notifications from Surpriise (eg. regarding important changes to our terms). You can also opt-in to "neighbourhood sharing" which is a feature which takes your last seen location and shares it with any of your friends using the Services and those using 3rd party apps. Your exact location is never shared, just the general neighbourhood or part of town you were last seen in. This feature enables your friends to leave a Voucher for you in areas they know you go.

Automatic Collection of Information: Cookies

The Website may use cookies and web beacons to gather anonymous, aggregated statistical information (for example, unique hits, page views) about our Website traffic. You can disable cookies and still browse the Website.

Use of Information

Surpriise collects Personal Information mainly for the following purposes:

  • To understand your needs and develop and recommend suitable applications, products and services;

We do not disclose information about our users to third parties except in connection with providing a Service to you, carrying out payment through our third party payment providers (eg. PayPal), and for the purposes of customer research or where we have your express permission to do so. We do not sell customer lists and we will not disclose or transfer your Personal Information except as provided herein to third parties without your permission, however, please see the Important Exceptions section below.

Certain aspects of your Surpriise activity may be broadcast to or through third party social networking services like Facebook or Twitter. You may control the Surpriise activity that is broadcast to third party services such as Facebook and Twitter through the mobile application settings feature, except for postings which are automatically generated by Surpriise, including without limitation, upon creation or redemption of a Voucher (as such term is defined in our Terms of Service).

Important Exceptions

We may disclose your Personal Information to third parties without your consent if we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone. We may also disclose Personal Information when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required by and/or is in accordance with the law.

We may also disclose your Personal Information in connection with a corporate re-organization, a merger or amalgamation with another entity, a sale of all or a substantial portion of our assets or shares, including any due diligence exercise carried out in relation to the same, provided that the information disclosed continues to be used for the purposes permitted by this Privacy Policy by the entity acquiring the information.
